One thing worth saying plainly. Honda machines are reliable, which makes it easy to skip maintenance because nothing has gone wrong yet. Ethanol fuel sitting in a tank through a humid Florida summer is the most common cause of the running problems we see, especially on machines that only get used a few times a year. Use fuel stabilizer, run the machine, and do not let it sit for six months with half a tank.

We use genuine Honda parts and we will tell you what a repair actually requires before we start. If a job turns out to need more than we quoted, you hear about it before the work happens.

Choosing the Right Honda® for How You Ride

ATV or side by side

If you ride alone, work narrow trails and want to be able to shift your weight, an ATV like a Rancher or Foreman is more nimble and easier to store. If you carry passengers, haul cargo in a bed, or want a roof and seat belts, a Pioneer makes more sense. Both do property work well. The deciding factor is usually passengers and cargo, not terrain.

Manual, electric shift or automatic

Honda gives you a real choice here and it is worth thinking about. Manual is the simplest and usually the cheapest. Electric shift keeps gear control without a foot lever. The automatic DCT is the one most people prefer once they try it, particularly for slow work where you are constantly stopping and starting. Ride one before deciding it is not for you.

First motorcycle

Central Florida traffic is fast and unforgiving on US 27 and the 60. A Rebel 300, Rebel 500 or CB300R gives a new rider low seat height, manageable weight and enough power to keep up safely. Sit on a few, check that you can flat foot at a stop, and take a rider training course before you commit to something bigger.

Buying a generator before storm season

Size it to what you actually need to run, usually a refrigerator, some fans, lights and device charging rather than the whole house. Buy it in spring, not the week a storm is named, because that is when supply disappears. Never run a generator inside a home, garage or screened enclosure. Carbon monoxide is the real risk, and it kills people in Florida every hurricane season.

Buying a used Honda®

Honda holds value well, which is a compliment to the machines and a warning about pricing. A clean used Rancher or Rebel will not be cheap, and a suspiciously cheap one usually has a reason behind it. Check the hour meter on an ATV or side by side rather than the odometer alone, ask when the valves were last checked on a motorcycle, look at how the fuel smells if the machine has been sitting, and confirm the title is clean and in the seller name. Every trade we take is inspected before it goes on the floor, and we will tell you what we replaced and what we did not.
